HCL has partnered with ibibo to bundle the iBrowser in its Android tablet range. After this partnership, ibibo’s iBrowser would be pre-installed on all future tablets from HCL including the HCL ME U1 and HCL ME Y2 range, the company said.
The HCL ME U1 was launched in June this year, and is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor backed by 512MB DDR3 RAM. The in-built Wi-Fi power device sports a 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB with a MicroSD (read complete review here).

Earlier, in February 2012, ibibo iBrowser claimed to have hit 6 million downloads since its formal launch in December 2011, out of which ibibo claims 3 million as monthly active users. Facebook and Zedge are the top two mobile sites followed by Getjar, Google & ibibo.The mobile browser has been brought in India jointly by Ibibo Group and China’s leading internet company, Tencent.
