Cloud-powered health monitoring company Statis Labs has raised $5 million in seed funding led by RTP-HC, the healthcare-focused investment arm of RTP Ventures. Wonder Ventures and Techstars Ventures also participated in the funding round.
“Stasis will be using the funds to continue expanding throughout Indian hospitals and prepare to enter the US and other markets worldwide,” said Michael Maylahn, COO of Statis. As part of the deal, Milena Adamian who heads RTP-HC, will be joining the board of Statis Labs.
Stasis Labs was founded in February 2015 by Dinesh Seemakurty and Michael Maylahn. It aims to transform medical hardware into a data-focused, SaaS product by developing a cloud-connected vitals monitoring platform, that enables access to a fundamental medical tool around the world.
