HealthKartPlus Raises $6 M In Funding; Rebrands Itself As ‘1mg’
The online pharmacy and drug database, HealthKartPlus has secured $6 million in fresh funding from MakeMyTrip founder Deep Kalra and other investors such as Sequoia Capital, Omidyar Network, Intel Capital & Kae Capital.
Bright Lifecare Pvt Ltd, which operates e-commerce platforms HealthKart and HealthKartPlus declared that the two entities will function separately hereafter with HealthKartPlus rebranded itself as 1mg.
“1mg is a perfect example of how a technology product can address multiple unsolved problems in healthcare space by bringing the power of information in the hands of the consumers,” says Prashant Tandon, Founder, HealthKartPlus.

Couple of days back Snapdeal was pulled up for selling drugs online as online drugs are not allowed in India. I am wondering how Healthkartplus and few similar ones are doing the business? Anyone here knows what exactly are the legal issues?
