Hero Cycles in collaboration with Yamaha Motor and Mitsui has launched a new brand for battery-powered cycles. The new entity is called Lectro.
These e-cycles, under the brand Lectro, will be manufactured at Hero’s Ghaziabad manufacturing unit and it will act as the hub for domestic sales and export.
The first product of this partnership, Lectro EHX20, has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 130,000.
While Yamaha Motors find the Indian premium e-cycle segment poised for unprecedented growth and wants to leverage the policies around e-vehicles, Hero Motor’s plans to bring more such products focusing on extreme sports.
