Hero’s Pankaj Munjal calls for a shift to e-cycles for food delivery

Hero Motor’s Pankaj Munjal has said that Indian food delivery companies and restaurants should adopt e-bikes for delivery. He asked the Indian companies to learn from similar companies in the US which have adopted e-cycles successfully.

Munjal also urged the government to include e-cycles in FAME-2 scheme to make them affordable which will help in faster adoption of EVs in India. Hero Motors along with Yamaha has recently launched its first e-cycle priced at Rs. 130,000 in India.

The govt. has also asked ride-hailing companies and food delivery companies to switch to e-vehicles as it will help in reducing pollution and lessen the import of crude oil.
