Drums Food International, the owners of premium ice cream brand Hokey Pokey has raised a seed round from a group of investors.
Peter Rajsingh, partner at Castellar Partners and a professor at the New York University, Shripad Nadkarni the former marketing head at Coca Cola India who invested in Hector Beverages and Apurva Salarpuria the Director of Salarpuria group and investor in Mast Kalandar have invested in the company.
The company sells premium ice creams and gives customers an option customise their ice creams. Hokey Pokey is now expanding to FMCG ice cream products, the company said.
The company will continue to develop its retail palrour footprint. Ready to go packs will be initially available at company parlours and Barista outlets in Mumbai. The company is in talks with major retailers as well.
