Honda has just got an Indian patent for a new alerting system that warns pedestrians by sending out sound signals to avoid accidents.
According to the patent, this device is meant for two wheelers which have a space constraint and cannot deploy the technology used in hybrid cars.
This system uses a low-voltage battery mounted at the rear end of the vehicle along with a speaker housed at the front, to generate a sound alert based on the speed of the vehicle. The system can control the sound level based on the time of the day or the level of environmental noise.
