Housejoy, home services startup has acquired online laundry service provider My Wash for an undisclosed amount. But no cash payment was involved in the deal.
Post-acquisition, My Wash team along with the founders will join Housejoy.
Bangalore based My Wash was founded in 2014 by BITS Pilani alumni Silus Chintapalli and Raghu Bharat along with Anna University engineering graduate Balaji Ashok.
With the acquisition, Housejoy plans to scale up operations and attain 10,000 services per day over the next year for the laundry vertical.
Talking about the acquisition, Saran Chatterjee, CEO at Housejoy said,” Laundry is strategic to Housejoy. The MyWash team is a super smart team and has demonstrated the best operational know how to scale laundry. We couldn’t be more excited about the possibilities. We now have the possibility to accelerate the growth in laundry beyond the current growth rate.”
