Housingcoin-logoMap based real estate portal .co.in has rolled out its operations in Bangalore. This comes less than a week after the startup announced that it raised $2.5 million from Nexus Venture Partners. The company’s foray to Bangalore was first reported on Techcrunch.

With this, Housing.co.in has now presence in five cities including Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Last month the Mumbai based company had expanded to new three new cities Gurgaon, Pune and Hyderabad.

Currently, the website lists real estate properties spanning across various region/parts of Bangalore such as HSR Layout, Sarjapur Road, WhiteField, Marathalli amongst others.

Users looking to rent and buy flats/properties in Bangalore can post their requirement and post which they can get the details matching their requirement over email and phone. Flat owners can also list their property by following the similar process.

Housing.co.in is a map based product that maps out the details of the property with geocodes including crucial details like pictures and security deposit of property. It also gives information on the location like the amenities around it and other details overlayed on a map.

Founded almost a year ago by a group of IIT students Housing.co.in has raised three rounds of investments including recent $2.5 million cheaque from Nexus Venture Partners. Prior to this, it raised two rounds of angel funding from former Network 18 CEO Haresh Chawla and Zishaan Hayath, who co-founded Chaupati Bazaar.

Few months ago, Housing.co.in introduced buy and sell features on its platform, and it charges a subscription fee (bi-annual and annual) to brokers who can upload unlimited listings on the website. As of now, listing for individual house owners is free.
