Huawei technologies urged the Indian government to offer a fair chance to all the vendors while choosing the suppliers for 5G technologies. The company has requested the govt. to take an independent decision while finalizing the vendors irrespective of their country of origin.
Huawei India’ CEO Chen Mingjie said that the company is committed to complying with all the local rules and regulations and is ready to co-operate with the Indian govt. while addressing their concerns regarding cybersecurity.
As several ministries have submitted their recommendations for 5G trials in India, the US govt. has asked India to not to consider Huawei citing security reasons.
