Hungama has announced the launch of its HTML5 site that allows users to stream free music as well as buy Indian and International content, including music tracks, music videos, stream full length movies etc.

The revamped website lets you stream music as well as store music files on the cloud, which you can accesss seamlessly via connected devices – i.e PCs, Mobile Smart Phones, Laptops, Tablets and connected TVs.

In addition to the digital platforms, the content of Hungama can also now be assessed through its retail touch points –‘Hungama Oxigen’ retail points across the country.

Hungama claims to have 20 million users via various touch points. Ever since its launch in India, Hungama Movies has a subscriber base of more than 50,000 paid users, projected to grow 3 times in the next 12 months. In the Middle Eastern Market specifically we hope to have 10,000 subscribers in the first phase.

The company recently raised funding from Intel capital and also plans to expand to UAE and Singapore.

Hungama’s HTML5 route comes at a time when is about to announce its Android app and importantly, iTunes store launched in India.
