Hyderabad Airport has launched a personalized entertainment-on-demand service for its passengers which allows flyers to download a movie of their choice within 3 minutes and watch it on the flight.
This is a first-of-its kind service in Asia and helps passengers avoid boredom due to lack of in-flight entertainment service in LCC-driven country like India. Flyers can chose from over 200 HD quality movies and can download the entire film in less than three minutes on superior-grade WiFi servers set up at the airport.
The service is being powered by Fropcorn, a travel entertainment venture and they are working with leading studios like Yash Raj, Sun TV, Reliance, etc to being the best of entertainment to travellers. Fropcorn is founded by a team on technology and media professionals with experience in organizations like Vodafone, Komli Media and Microsoft and they are a part of the first batch of the GenNext Innovation Hub, an accelerator by Reliance and Microsoft.
