Hyderabad based startup Bulbul apps has raised funding for their kickstarter project ‘Tuktuk goes to Hyderabad’ with the help of 60+ backers. It is a travel app for kids with a focus on quality content for children.
The funds raised from the crowd funding site Kickstarter, will be used to pay writers, illustrator, animator, voice over artists, musicians and towards app development, testing and listing.
Tuk-Tuk goes to Mumbai was launched a month ago and now Tuk-Tuk goes to Hyderabad is set to be launched.
Over 300 artists from around the world collaborate currently to create Bulbulapps library. The company that follows a collaborative model has raised $250K in angel round.
The Kickstarter project that set funding goal of $2000 reached the target in 25 days, said founder Prakash Dantuluri.
Bulbul apps gives (storytellers) from wherever they are, an opportunity to produce content of international quality, provide them with access to a technology platform and a marketplace that gives them visiblity in the digital world.
The startup aims to expand to New York, London, Dubai, Hong Kong and Tokyo cities in next six months.
