Mobile app-based hyper-local marketplace, Zopper has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round from Tiger Global and Nirvana Ventures Advisors.
The funds raised will be utilized for expanding its services to 30 more cities across the country as well as to develop its technology base. The company is also planning to get more retailers on its platform.
Zopper provides its users a platform with electronics, appliances, mobile phones and tablets in nearby local stores, compare prices, express delivery as well as cash on delivery.
Recently, the offline mobile retail chain TheMobileStore has signed up as a merchant partner on Zopper for an offline-online integration (omni-channel strategy).
At present Zopper services are available in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
