Hyperlocal Shopping App ShopsUp Raises $1M in Seed Funding


Bangalore-based hyperlocal shopping app ShopsUp has raised $1 million in seed funding from former president and Southeast Asia CEO of Huawei Technologies, Yang Shu and VRL Logistics Ltd’s managing director and promoter Anand Sankeshwar.

Founded by serial entrepreneur Suhas Gopinath, ShopsUp is a hyperlocal shopping app that helps users discover the best fashion stores and exclusive offers and discounts in town and rewards you for your shopping with redeemable points or ‘shots’.

Suhas Gopinath is also the founder, CEO and Chairman of Bangalore-based Globals Inc. He made global headlines when he took charge as CEO at the age of 17, and at the time, was named the world’s youngest CEO.
