Sobha Renaissance’s IT arm has launched iCognue, an AI based search engine that they claim transcends beyond keyword search, and results revolve around the larger icognuecontext of the typed  keyword and not only around the keyword.

Currently, the search is limited to Encyclopedia, Wikipedia and Healthcare and though SRIT calls it a "newly developed algorithm, Latent Metonymical Analysis and Indexing, it’s basically a take on semantic search.

I tested the product with few keywords and don’t have a positive feedback on the results. Maybe SRIT guys should look at Powerset which, even though has a small data set (i.e. only wikipedia) does an awesome job of unlocking the meaning of query keywords.

Do give iCognue a shot and share your feedback.
