Telecom Subscription Growth Falls

Going by data released by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the GSM industry body, member operators added 5.4 million new subscribers in August.

That’s down nearly 30% from the 7.64 million added the previous month. The fiscal year average, too, stands much higher at 13.6 million a month.[source]

WWE and UTV Indiagames bring mobile content to India

UTV Indiagames will develop and publish WWE mobile content including ringtones, wallpaper, video clips, voice tones, premium alert packages and WAP decks.

From October 1, 2011 consumers will be able to access WWE’s mobile content through all major mobile operators in the market, including Airtel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular, TATA Docomo and Aircel.[source]
