Nokia is India’s Most Trusted Brand

Nokia C1 - Dual SIM Phone

Inspite of the market share loss, Nokia emerged out as India’s topmost brand (in 2011), for third time in a row.

“If this proves anything, it is that trust is not what it used to be. The categories and brands that earn it are changing. Mobile telephony is hot and it reflects not just in the rise of Nokia but in the debut of Vodafone in the Top 20 this year and Reliance Mobile and Bharati Airtel making it to 10 and 12 respectively in 2009.” – ET Brand Survey

For Nokia, a company that celebrated its 15th year in India (coincides with India’s 15 years of mobile revolution), this is a no mean feat (especially the hat-trick, in the days of Micromax/Karbonn).

New from Nokia : Dual SIM Phones

Nokia has now launched the much awaited Nokia C1 and Nokia C2 dual SIM phones in India.

Nokia C1 is a basic phone that offers features like standby time of 6 weeks and most importantly, call divert feature – i.e. divert the calls to the SIM which has been currently activated. At a price of Rs. 1999, expect this to be another Nokia 1100 story.

Will 2010 see the coming of Nokia as a phone for the BoP market as well?
