India plants 50 million trees in 24-hours to break Guinness World Record

In UP this week, more than 800,000 people planted saplings to help increase the state’s forest area and break the Guinness World record for the number of trees planted in 24 hours—which was previously set by Pakistan in 2013 with 847,275 trees. Both the general public and officials took part in this govt-sponsored initiative.
