Google has now updated the list of countries where developers can sell paid apps and India has been included in the list (link).
UPDATE: Seems, this was a mistake by Google. India has now been removed from the list (details here).
A few important things to know about :
- The Google Checkout account which you need to link to your Google Play developer account can only be linked once from within the developer account interface.
- Once accounts are linked, they cannot be removed, changed or updated. If you need to do this, please know that you will have to sign up for a new developer account by paying the fee of $25 US.
