The Indian app ecosystem is in its early days. We’ve seen a great lot of apps being made out of India. We’ve also seen some of them becoming insanely successful. What is sometimes missing though, is thought leadership. In this post, we’ve curated a few people who are keen on apps or have a bearing on the industry. We plan to grow this list as we go forward.

Aman Alam

Amanalam: Tweets incessantly on apps, a bit of politics and startups. He is also keen on photography, motor bikes, philosophy, self help, martial arts and spirituality.

Bhatnaturally

Bhatnaturally: Lakshmipathi Bhat is an ex-adman, Apple fan and the Director at CodeConclave, an app studio which helps brands with their mobile app strategy and design. Among other things, he often tweets on advertising and apps.

Deepak Abbot

Deepak Abbot: Delhi based Deepak is AVP at PayTm. He trips on product, marketing and analytics and is very active on Twitter. He has worked in companies like Reliance Entertainment- Digital, Zapak & Satyam computers handling product, marketing & analytics.

Dev Khare

DKhare: Dev Khare is a venture capitalist at Light Speed Ventures. He has great insights on technology and the app ecosystem in India. Apps wont be the only thing you will be reading about on his timeline.

Kumar Rangarajan

Kumrr: Kumar Rangarajan is the co-founder of Little Eye Labs, the first Indian company to be acquired by Facebook. He tweets on politics and startups. Kumar and his team have joined Facebook after the acquisition. We are hoping he tweets more.

Prashant

Pacificleo: Prashant Singh is the Co-Founder of Shifu, a contextual to-do and task manager app for Android. You won’t find him tweeting a lot about apps, but he’s definitely an interesting person to follow on Twitter.

Pratyush

Pratyushp: Pratyush was the co-founder of Plustxt, an instant messaging app that was acquired by One97 last year. He tweets on the startup ecosystem and apps. Sometimes he writes for NextBigWhat and is very conversational on Twitter.

Satyajeet

Satyajeet:  Satyajeet now heads products at Zomato. He was earlier at Cleartrip and Naukri and tweets mostly about mobile, startup, design and music. Fantastic account to follow if you are interested in the app/ tech space.

Soham

S0h4m: Is a keen app developer (latest: Sky Recorder)and is one of the few great droid guys out there. He is an active member of the droid community and tweets on interesting things in the app world.

Vss

Vijayshekhar: Vijay Shekhar Sharma is the founder & CEO of mobile Internet company One97 Communications. He is one of the most active guys on Twitter out there. His tweets are witty and offer perspective. He also shares interesting information on the mobile/ app ecosystem.
