Indian Startups: Hits and Misses of 2016

2016 has been a good year for some startups, but it has been even harsher to lots of others. There have been quite a few noticeable shutdowns such as Fashionara, PepperTap, Ask Me, etc. However, experts are of the opinion that this is how the ecosystem of startup industry works.

Around 20% of the startups can live up to their dreams and success.

According to Mohan Kumar, the ED of Norwest Venture Partners India, “Two to three years after a startup’s inception is a time when you see high mortality. There is too much competition, and only a few survive,” But, yes lots of startups have climbed up the ladder pretty fast such as Treebo, Grofers, Flyrobe, Voonik, Jugnoo and more.
