- The Defence Ministry plans to replace its current Microsoft operating system with the local ‘Maya OS’ for boosted cybersecurity.
- Initially, Maya OS will be installed on a few systems on trial basis, with intentions to wider implementation across all connected systems.
- Besides the ministry, the Indian Navy has decided to adopt Maya OS, whilst the Army and Air Force are evaluating it.
