- Net direct tax collection has spiked by 15.87% from last year, now at Rs. 4.75 lakh crore.
- Refunds of Rs. 42,000 crore were issued from April 1- July 9, 2023, a 2.55% increase from the same period last year.
- Direct tax collection, including income and corporate taxes, rose by 14.65% on a gross basis, reaching Rs. 5.17 lakh crore.
