Spuul.com, an online entertainment service dedicated to streaming Indian movies and TV shows, has inked an agreement with IndiaCast Media Distribution (a joint venture between TV18 and Viacom18) to make over 60 current and upcoming Hindi and regional language movies available for worldwide streaming on Spuul from the library of Viacom18 Motion Pictures, COLORS and Eenadu Television from this week.
Besides these latest flicks, Spuul will also offer worldwide streaming of blockbusters as they launch at box-office. Spuul has also included IndiaCast movies like Blood Money, Bitoo Boss, Golmaal Returns and Aiyya including regional titles dubbed in Hindi such as Vishwa – The He Man.
Earlier, Spuul had partnered with Yash Raj Films (YRF) to make the studio’s super hit movies available on its platform.
Spuul is also available as a free mobile app for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch).
Video Streaming in India
YouTube and Google play movies have started pay-to-view model on their platform in March this year. Movies can be rented on YouTube starting at Rs 50, the pricing is based on the resolution of the movie as well as recent releases. Rival Apple did get a head start in India by rolling out the Music and Movies offerings on the iTunes Store in last year.
