Industry wants to join the EV race, but very few willing to collaborate : Rajiv, MG Motors

Auto Industry leaders at the electric vehicle conference, EVconIndia, felt that India’s EV policy is not still clear and lacks a long-term vision.

MG Motors India head, Rajiv Chaba said different EVs, two-wheeler to heavy vehicle, need separate infrastructure and a separate ecosystem to thrive. He also mentioned that while a part of the industry wants to join the EV race once the infrastructure is ready, a few are ready to collaborate now and evolve.

Lack of awareness and EV infrastructure were considered the major hurdles in EV adoption, but everyone at the conference was clear that electric vehicles will be here and rule the market soon.
