Infoworks Raises $5 million In Series A funding Led By Nexus Venture Partners

Infoworks, a player in automated big data management, has announced that it has secured $5 million in Series A financing in a round led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from Knoll Ventures and others.

Infoworks also announced availability of a complete solution for data warehouse augmentation, which is built on the company’s dynamic data warehousing (DDW) platform.

“Existing methodologies and systems for data management are proving to be too slow, inflexible, and expensive to meet the emerging needs of data-driven enterprises,” said Amar Arsikere, CEO and co-founder of Infoworks.

“Just as Google crawls the web and organizes information for search, the Infoworks DDW platform automatically crawls enterprise databases, ingests the data into Hadoop, and organizes it into high performance data warehouses and other data models that support all enterprise use cases, including cubes.”

Infoworks also announced that it has expanded its management team, bringing onboard decades of analytics and enterprise software experience.  Recent additions to the management team include Ramesh Menon, head of product management, and Jitender Nankani, head of customer success.
