#inmobi calls itself world’s largest independent ad network and that simply means that the company needs to aggregate all independent forces that monetize the mobile internet/app business. After acquiring HTML5 ad builder platform, Sprout and app store platform, MMTG labs, the company has now acquired Metaflow Solutions, a mobile app management and distribution company.
Metaflow simplifies the global deployment and content management process for developers through its intelligent submission tools, servicing the biggest publishers in the market. The company offers Marketplace, a fully brandable cloud based content repository for multiple parties looking to monetise digital content efficiently from one place. As well as rights management, the centrally managed marketplace provides a discovery and update content hub from which MetaConnect (the Distribution arm) and all Metaflow submissions client licensees can discover and quickly deliver publisher’s digital content through a fully integrated stack.
The company distributes to over 350 app stores (including appia) and operators globally.
Post acquisition, the Metaflow team will become an integral part of InMobi’s developer oriented efforts, led by Piyush Shah, VP and GM of Developer Platforms and Performance Advertising at InMobi.
For InMobi, this providers another platform acquisition helping them reach out to independent app developers/publishers and ensuring that the company acquires these marketplaces, before Google/Apple turns them into a branded marketplace.
