Instagram has revealed that it is completely redesigning its interface for the web, with a focus on cleaner, flatter design, that will be rolled out for all users this week.
The service’s was always known to be app first with an underwhelming web experience, but the new redesign could soon change all that.
Screenshots show that Instagram has increased the size of images on its site, showing 3 photos per row rather than 5. The design also does away with a lot of borders and finally brings the circular profile picture over from the app.
The new design might show fewer images in the same space, but with the added white space around images, better helps each photo stand out on its own.
Moreover, the previous design was outdated and the new interface even introduces infinite scrolling for your feed, making it a lot like using the app on mobile.
