Kumud Srinivasan to head Intel’s Indian operation

Chip-maker Intel has appointed Kumud Srinivasan as President of its India operations.  Srinivasan succeeds Praveen Vishakantaiah, who is relocating to the U.S. as General Manager of Client Solutions and Technology group in the PC Client Group for Intel, Intel said in an official statement.

Srinivasan has been with Intel group for over 25 years, and has held several business and information systems positions chip-maker’s manufacturing and information technology organisations. During her previous role, she was Vice-President and General Manager of IT for Silicon Software.

Manish Vij of Smile Vun Group to launch PrecisionMatch- a data analytics company for digital marketing

Manish Vij, the co-founder of Smile Vun Group is launching a data analytics and management company to serve the digital advertising market. The company which will comb the web and come up with insights for advertisers is slated for an official launch on Thursday. According to an invite from the group, the company will be called “PrecisionMatch” and it is being positioned as the “first data provider for digital marketing in India and South East Asia.”

The group, a joint venture between Vij’s Vun Network and Harish Bahl’s Smile Group, runs companies like Quasar, digital media network Tyroo and Zoomtra. Letsbuy.com, the e-commerce company founded by Vij was sold to Flipkart.com earlier. In June, Vij was looking to raise $ 10 mn to fund Tyroo and mobile media distribution and analytics platform, SeventyNine. Companies like Bluekai operate in a similar space.

Sandeep Amar joins One97, Upen Rai to join Rishi Khiani in his upcoming entrepreneurial venture

Mobile internet firm One97 Communications has appointed Sandeep Amar as vice-president, mobile marketing, reports Indiadigitalreview. Prior to this appointment, Sandeep Amar had served Times Group in 2007 as the head of marketing at Times Business Solutions and later elevated as the Vice President and Head of Marketing and Audience at Indiatimes.com.

The IDR report also mentions that Upen Rai, former Director at Times Internet, who had also resigned last month, is reportedly joining hands with Rishi Khiani in his upcoming entrepreneurial venture.
