Intel staff in Ireland offered unpaid leave in cost-cutting drive

Intel has reportedly offered three months of unpaid leave to up to 2,000 employees in its manufacturing division in Ireland as part of cost-cutting measures.

This unpaid leave is part of Ireland’s “voluntary time off” program. In October, the company cut its full-year profit and revenue forecast and warned that it would lay off workers.
