(Vinod) Khosla Ventures To Invest In Interviewstreet [?]

Interviewstreet, the startup that demoed at UnPluggd3 and later joined YCombinator batch has signed up a term sheet with Khosla Ventures (Vinod Khosla announced the same at Techcrunch Disrupt event)*.

Interviewstreet, as we have profiled earlier on Pluggd.in helps companies create programming challenges (for job seekers) and evaluate the actual coding skills of the candidates before interviewing them. The company already has Amazon, Facebook, Cleartrip, Flipkart etc use their product for hiring.

The candidate is given a simple and easy-to-use view of the questions in the test. The question type and status (attempted / not attempted) is indicated and the candidate is free to choose the order to answer the questions. A neat syntax-highlighted editor is provided for the candidate to code. The candidate can choose the language and code in it accordingly. The candidate can compile the code and test it against a set of sample test cases before proceeding to submit the answer.Hiring companies can now see a detailed report of the candidates performance including a playback of their test duration. So no copy pasting of code.

Do watch the demo of Interviewstreet at UnPluggd3 – they kicked some serious a$$!

* – PS: Interviewstreet founder, Vivek tells us that the deal is not yet signed, but its not so often that Vinod Khosla announces signing up a term sheet with a startup without being confident of the deal. We do hope that the deal goes through and the Interviewstreet team crack$ the US market too.
