Homegrown handset manufacturer Intex has rolled out its in-house e-payment App Intex “MyWallet” on Google Play, making it available to all Android smartphone users. MyWallet is equipped with payment options across segments, ranging from phone recharge to utility bills payment like postpaid, gas, electricity, DTH and landline, etc.
Intex will soon integrate and pre-load the app on its smartphones. Powered by Tata mRupee with a secure back-end technology, “MyWallet” allows users to book Railway tickets through IRCTC and other entertainment bookings through various gift voucher & coupons. It also allows users to send and receive money.
The company joins other handset manufacturers such as Micromax and Spice Digital to offer wallet services. Micromax had launched its wallet service called ‘Udio’ in partnership with TranServ and Visa, and Spice Mobility had launched ‘SpiceMudra’ which focuses on domestic remittances in September last year.
