iOS 17 expands HomePod compatibility with Siri and iPhone apps

  • Starting with iOS 17, Siri can play media from iPhone and iPad apps on HomePod.
  • Apps must support SiriKit API to function with HomePod through Siri; compatible with music, audiobooks, podcasts, radio, and meditation apps.
  • Feature works when iOS device and HomePod are connected to the same Wi-Fi network; public release expected this fall.
