Looks like the most anticipated phone of the year may not be the hottest choice of Indian buyers. We did a poll on how many of you want to buy iPhone 5 and here is the result:
iPhone 5 pre-orders have shattered the previous record held by iPhone 4S and the customer response to iPhone 5 has been phenomenal,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “iPhone 5 is the best iPhone yet, the most beautiful product we’ve ever made, and we hope customers love it as much as we do.
Now here some good news for people who want to buy iPhone 5 in india, the iStore and Imagine store (M.G. Road and UB city, Bangalore) representatives said that the release date will be around 50 days after the keynote, so you can expect the iPhone 5 around November, 2012. The representative also said that the pricing would be around Rs. 44,000 – 52,000.
Besides that, this time Airtel or Aircel will not be the only companies selling iPhones instead Apple will also be retailing the iPhones in different mobile stores, sources said.
A suggestion for people buying iPhone 5 form other countries, don’t buy the iPhone 5 until the India release, the new iPhone uses nano-sims which aren’t available as of now. The telecom companies have already ordered the nano sim and are expecting it to be in the market only after the iPhone 5 release in India. So if you get too eager and buy the new iPhone, you might have to use it as an expensive paperweight for sometime. As iFollowers says, if you dont have an iPhone, you dont have an iPhone!
