“I don’t think necessity is the mother of invention. Invention, in my opinion, arises directly from idleness, possibly also from laziness – to save oneself trouble.” – Agatha Christe.
There is a virtue in being lazy, especially if you are a geek.
Rajesh Ganji, a developer at Kookoo is getting married (on April 14th) and instead of sending personal [read: manual] email to all his friends, he ended up building an IVR using Kookoo API for his wedding invitation.
He wrote a program that pulled contacts from his Gmail contacts, called them programmatically and played out the IVR wedding invitation! Importantly, he has hosted the code on github so that future grooms and brides can use it for their own wedding if needed.
So, go ahead and call 040-30247070 to wish Rajesh Ganji all the best (press 3 to leave a voice greeting)!
