Reliance Jio’s 4G wireless service is yet to be officially launched, however, its free data and calls offers have left telecom operators in jitters, forcing many of them to cut their prices.
India’s biggest telecom operator Bharti Airtel has slashed the prices of data for its 3G and 4G mobile Internet services under its special ‘Mega Saver Pack’ scheme. These prepaid packs are currently available in Delhi, and will be launched across locations by Aug 31, 2016.
To avail this offer, Airtel customers have to recharge with Rs 1,498 against which they will get 1GB of 4G or 3G mobile internet usage valid for 28 days, post which, customers can get 1GB 4G or 3G recharges for just Rs 51 over a period of 12 months.
