The JioBrowser, as Reliance claims, is “one of the first Indian browsers that’s developed keeping the Indian users in mind.” The browser is said to be lighter than its competitors, weighing just around 5MB. Therefore, consumers on low-end devices should be able to run it smoothly. The UI of the browser is minimalist and puts the focus on Jio’s own content collection.
The Jio Browser supports 8 Indian languages thus making it an offering exclusively for Indian users across different states.
Too little, too late? There is no clear differentiation w.r.t the existing options.
