Julia Computing has received a $600,000-grant from US-based Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

Founded by former UIDAI executive Viral B. Shah, the startup provides consulting services, ranging from code reviews, to design and architecture, to custom development and commercial support for Julia.

The funds will be used to improve the Julia open-source existing beta-level language and integrate the language into long-term supported 1.0 version. [source]
