June’s GST collection rises 12%, crossing ₹1.61 lakh crore

  • The gross collection has exceeded the ₹1.6 lakh crore mark for the fourth time since inception of GST.
  • The government breakdown of the ₹1,61,497 crore GST revenue includes ₹31,013 crore CGST, ₹38,292 crore SGST, ₹80,292 crore IGST, and ₹11,900 crore as cess.
  • Compared to previous year, June’s GST revenues are 12% higher, with domestic transactions seeing an 18% hike.
