JustDial has announced its results for the latest quarter. The company is increasingly becoming a mobile & internet company, like we’d written before. It posted Rs 29.76 cr profit, up 86% year on year for the quarter third quarter on a topline of Rs 119.86 cr.
JustDial CEO VSS Mani’s commentary is interesting though. Gives us a sense of where its headed. The share of voice/ sms based users of its services grew 5%, while mobile and PC visits to the site grew massively, contributing to a major chunk of queries on the platform (see tables below).
VSS Mani, MD & CEO, JustDial Ltd said
With other ‘Search Plus’ products in the pipeline, we intend to cover almost a whole range of day to day tasks that users conduct and provide them with a seamless search and transaction experience on a single platform.
The company which charges local businesses a fee for premium listing on their directory, is planning to transition from being solely a local search engine to a service provider facilitating transactions between consumers and providers of various products and services. In December 2013, it launched JustDial Search Plus, an online marketplace.
