Justice Department Requests Sam Bankman-Fried to Use a Flip Phone During Bail

  • The Justice Department has requested FTX founder and former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried to use a non-smartphone without internet connectivity during his bail.
  • Unless a lawyer is present, Bankman-Fried will be forbidden from contacting current or former FTX and Alameda Research employees.
  • Bankman-Fried will also not be allowed to use encrypted messaging apps, including Signal.
