Karnataka finally goes full throttle in its electric drive

Karnataka is now preparing itself for the switch to electric vehicles. 112 new Bescom charging points are expected to go live this week. BMTC is also setting up charging stations for electric buses at four different depots.

The transport department and department of industries and commerce will offer subsidies to acquire new electric autos as well as to convert the existing ones to electric.

Bescom officials have announced that Metro stations, BMTC terminals, BWSSB and BBMP offices are among the 100 new places identified to get EV charging stations. The list of operational charging stations and the facility to book a charging slot has been made available on Bescom Mithra app.
