First of all, Komli’s Vizisense, in my humble opinion doesn’t stand any credibility.
Case in point: pluGGd.in pageviews, according to Vizisense has droppped ~67% since December 2008 [Dec #: 715K, Feb#: 243K) – a data which is as grossly wrong as it shouldn’t be.
Clearly shows lack of authority in Komli’s Vizisense tool (claims to have a sample size of 10K, which again is questionable).
Komli has launched iResearchPanel (was launched earlier, but komli is now advertising the tool heavily on it’s network) to coax users to install the tool, and in return, they get to participate in contests and win prizes (like iPod/cash prizes etc).
“iResearchPanel application is browser plugin that allows us to profile web surfing behaviour. The application is designed to send the entire weblog of the user, including the URLs the visitor went to, the time stamp, search terms, the browser used etc. Once the application is running on a user’s computer, he/she becomes eligible for the weekly draw that immediately follows the day of download.”
In short, Alexa + incentives.
Will you install the tool? I won’t (I’d have, if I earlier participated in similar contests @ Minglebox/Yaari/ibibo and several other sites! 🙂 )
Honestly, Vizisense/iResearchPanel has a long way to go in order to build credibility – just doesn’t stands anywhere.
What’s your opinion?
