LeEco has announced that it will invest $10 million in India by end of this year.
The Chinese company plans to set up in-house cloud and content delivery network across 10 cities including New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
The company plans to reach out to 10 million smatphone users through the upcoming infrastructure.
“India will be the second market after China to have content we provide. We plan to tie up with providers to deliver third party content and are also evaluating producing LeEco’s own local content,” the company said in a statement.
The in-house CDNs will be connected to LeEco’s global 650 CDNs through cloud and will allow the TV and smartphone users to stream audio, video or internet television content on-demand seamlessly and reliably, wherever they are.
