LG finally announced the availability of the LG Optimus G in India at Rs 34,500.
The phone has a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus Display phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5 GHz Quad-core processor. This smartphone runs on the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and has a 2,100 mAh battery.
The smartphone comes with a 13MP rear-end camera and 1.3MP front facing camera. It has 32GB of internal memory and can support NFC. LG has skinned the Optimus G with its own Optimus 3.0 UI.
The screen has a 320ppi high pixel density. The Optimus G is equipped with Zerogap Touch display technology which will bring visuals closer to the surface of the screen and give a more immersive experience.
The LG Optimus G will come with QuickSlide which will allow consumers to simultaneously run two apps and multi-task their way through work and play. QuickTranslator will easily translate any international language into English and vice-versa. The QuickMemo app allows users to jot down important notes even while on active call. When videos are played in the player, a Zoom In function enables consumers to zoom in/ out of a live video. Dual Screen Dual Play, allows mirroring between the smartphone and a TV, and even activates different contents on each screen. The 13MP camera will also come with a few features specific to the phone.
The Optimus G will compete with the Nokia Lumia 920, Samsung Galaxy S III and the HTC One X.
ASUS launches MeMO Pad ME 172V in India for Rs 9,999.
It has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels, a 1GHz single core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4,325 mAh battery, a 1-megapixel front facing camera and it is offered with 8GB of internal memory. The storage is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The tablet will have a dedicated graphics processor and weight 370 grams, while its thickness is 11.2 mm.
The ASUS MeMO Pad will be available from next week in three colors – Sugar White, Titanium Grey and Cherry Pink.
MeMO stands for “My Mobile. My Moment”.
ASUS has bundled functional Apps like ‘ASUS WebStorage’ with 5GB online Lifetime Space and ‘ASUS Webstorage Office’ to empower users to view, create, edit and share Microsoft Office documents on the mobile device.
It is similar to the Google Nexus 7, which is also made by ASUS and will compete with other budget tabs like the Acer Iconia B1, which also has similar specifications.
