Cricfeeds is an interesting startup that simulates live cricket (ball-by-ball) with player names/positions in the field.
What’s really interesting about Cricfeeds is that any site can build a cricket solution using their platform (essentially, cricfeeds is selling a white label solution and some of their client includes Indyarocks and Indian Express’ ExpressBuzz).
Some of their features include:
- Eye catching Ball-by-ball Simulation, Audio, Text Scores and Commentary,
- Player Stats and Digg style News syndication (beta)
- white label features like domain masking, non intrusive flexible AD management,
- Transparent Google Analytics based Traffic monitoring, fully customizable site header, footer, backgrounds etc.
There are subtle details that impressed me – for instance, clicking on a player name throws players’ stats – the team has also launched Facebook and Orkut apps.
Cricfeeds (NetZeta is the parent company) offers different services – right from white labeling (one can get a custom URL, customize the template, customize logo etc) to game production (includes live audio casting/commentary etc).
Overall, Cricfeeds seems to be an impressive story – though I am not sure how legal is the commentary part (after all, ICC allows only partners to play with the match data).
Do give Cricfeeds a spin and share your opinion.
