LocayOye has raised $5mn in Series A funding from Tiger Global and Lightspeed Ventures. The company plans to use the capital to expand its services across India, and increase the number of categories it services. LocalOye currently operates in Mumbai, and services 250+ categories such as tutors, appliance repair, yoga, fitness trainers, event photographers.

The services the company offers is built on an advanced recommendation engine, showing users local service professionals a few minutes away from them.
While the platform caters to user search at the front, it also allows service men to review, accept, engage and schedule bookings with those customers.
LocalOye eliminates the need for users to take the classifieds approach of going through hundreds of listings, and make several phone calls, while also providing service men a better conversion rates.
