A huge number of restaurants have delisted from the aggregator platforms like Zomato, EasyDiner, MagicPin, Dineout, and Nearbuy. This has been done in favour of the #Logout campaign against deep discounting, which as per NRAI is unsustainable.
The association says it will be meeting all the aggregators soon, apart from Zomato as the latter has not extended an offer of discussion.
The protest seems to have taken Zomato by surprise as the company claims that it wasn’t informed by the body. While NRAI says past issues are still unresolved, Zomato is open to discussion and is looking for a quick resolution of the issues.
Our thoughts on the restaurant industry’s stand against deep discounting –⁰
1 – Zomato Gold has been a major hit, but we understand that bargain hunters have also joined Zomato Gold and they are hurting some segments of the restaurant industry very badly.

3 – Somewhere, we have made mistakes and things haven’t gone as planned.⁰ This is a wake up call that we need to do 100x more for our restaurant partners than we have done before.
