Local Commerce App, Lookup Adds DeNA and Beenos’ Founder As Investors. Raises $382K In Total

Lookup app has crossed over 5000 downloads

Hyperlocal app, Lookup which earlier raised angel funding from Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan & MKS Switzerland SA has added Japanese investors, DeNA and Teruhide Sato, Beenos founder to its investor list. And with Teru and DeNA putting further money, Lookup has closed its seed round of funding for a total of $382k.

Lookup can be used to make reservations at nearby restaurants and hotels, to make appointments at spas, salons, clinics, to get information about offers, deals and prices and also to share images with businesses to find information about products.
Lookup app has crossed over 5000 downloads and on a daily basis, the team is hitting over 10,000 messages from over 2000 daily active users.

  1. This idea seems to be very good. I think it can very well work on salons, spa, restaurants for reservation however if we think of its usage in grocery order, there could be some challenges. Most of the kirana stores are busy during the day. I don’t think they would have enough time to respond to customer’s messages. Since this is a chat app, people would expect replies in real time.
    Anyways I believe this app has a potential. Good luck LookUp team !!!
